Diving Phi phi and Coral island
Phi phi island, coral island, koh kai , Raya Island, James Bond Island and Krabi are just a few famous diving spots. The world renown famous diving spot would be Tachai Island at Similan.
Joining a James Bond Island tour and cruise the Phang Nga Bay is the second most popular activity in the region. The area is situated 25 km north-east of Phuket. It consists of numerous dramatic limestone cliffs rising sheer out of the waters. The most famous one being James Bond Island with its needle formed limestone rock which featured in the movie “The Man with the Golden Gun”. The muslim fishing village on the island Koh Panyee is another popular spot to visit. Canoeing through limestone caves into mangrove forests is included in the tours.
Phi phi Island is approximately 1 hour away from phuket by speed boat. The islands consist of 2 small islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. Ko Raya Yai is a beautiful unspoilt island and lies 12 km south of Phuket. There are fine clean white sands on the west coast at Ao Tawan Tok (Ao Bungalow), whilst on the east coast is coral reef with excellent diving (Ao Koh Kae Bey). The waters are crystal clear.
