Jungceylon is a gigantic shopping mall comprising an area of 200,000 square meters and designed to accommodate some 45,000 shoppers who can become many more on rainy or very hot days. At Jungceylon you will find everything from souvenir shops to designer shops. It has more than 200 commercial establishments where you can find fruit markets, clothes, electronics, eyewear, shoes, perfumes, cosmetics and everything you can imagine. Besides, there is a lot to do in Jungceylon. If you like adventure the Patong Zipline Adventure is perfect for you. This ecological park has been designed across 32 acres of land and at a height of 325 meters above sea level. The Patong Zipline Adventure is located on top of the Kathu Phuket Mountain 20 minutes from Patong Beach. From the top you can appreciate breathtaking views of Patong beach, Kamala beach, and Kathu. Occasionally, when the weather allows it, the island of Phi Phi can be appreciated from a distance. The park offers several packages that include different tours in ziplines, skateboard, spiral staircases and sky bridges.

6 Boxing Stadiums

Although there are several boxing stadiums, one of the best known is the Bangla Boxing Stadium. This stadium is located behind Jungceylon Shopping Mall. In this stadium we can watch Muay Thai fights, also known as the art of the eight limbs, as the use of the hands, shins, elbows, and knees is allowed in these fights. Muay Thai may not be to everyone’s delight, as it is one of the most violent martial arts, but for martial arts lovers it will be a spectacular event.

7 Patong Go-Kart Speedway

Speed and racing lovers will also find their favorite spot, the Patong Go-Kart Speedway. Here you will find fun for the whole family. The circuit consists of a 750 meter long track with several sharp and smooth curves along the path. The speedway has four types of go-karts to choose from. Each type has different preset speed limits depending on the age of the rider. In addition, it has double karts designed with rear seats so you can ride your children. There is also a restaurant-bar that offers a nice view of the race track.

8 Kathu Waterfall

These waterfalls are the perfect place to spend a day surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. The most convenient time to visit is from June to November when they have enough water. The waterfall has four levels. The first two levels are easily accessible through concrete steps, but to get to the last two levels you will have to go through dirt roads and climb over several rocks. The good thing is that you will find a number of natural pools along the way where you can freshen up. At the end of the adventure you can have a delicious lunch in a small local Thai restaurant next to the waterfall.

9 Phuket Wake Park

This park is located relatively close to the Kathu waterfalls and intended for the sport of wakeboarding. It has a large freshwater lake equipped with two cable systems; a short one for beginners and a longer one for experts. Wakeboarding is a very intense sport that promises to rush you with adrenaline, so if you’re not used to it, get ready to feel a little sore the next day. For those who have never practiced it, the park has professional instructors who will help you with your training. They also have equipment rentals such as wakeboards, gloves, life vests, and helmets for a small fee.

10 Banzaan Night Markets

In Patong there are several night markets, among the most popular are the OTOP Market and the Malin Plaza. There you will find items at a cheaper price than those offered in the malls. The OTOP Market is located just 750 meters from the Jungceylon Shopping Mall. Here you will find souvenirs, handmade goods, local pottery, household items, cotton products, silk garments, and food from different provinces of Thailand. You will also find a food court and at the back of the market you will encounter a long line of tiny beer bars. The Malin Plaza is another night market where you can enjoy a wider variety of local foods, all kinds of sweets, bars and cafes. It’s a mix of local market and bazaar. This market is relatively new and is located south of Patong Beach.

11 Bangla Road

Also known as Patong Walking Street, Bangla Road is the centre of Phuket’s busiest nightlife. Every night from 6:00 p.m. the street closes its way to traffic and becomes a 400 metre long pedestrian walking street. Visitors have the opportunity to walk the road that is filled on either side of all kinds of beer bars, live music bars, rooftop bars, night clubs and, of course, the famous go-go bars. It is a unique and iconic walk between a festival of neon lights and loud music.
